Juani has joined the cast of AMC's The Terror: Devil in Silver, starring Dan Stevens. This third installment of Ridley Scott's AMC anthology series The Terror is based on the novel The Devil in Silver by Victor LaValle.
Written by Chris Cantwell and author Victor LaValle, The Terror: Devil in Silver tells the story of Pepper (Stevens), a working-class moving man who, through a combination of bad luck and a bad temper, finds himself wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital – an institution filled with the people society would rather forget. There, he must contend with patients who work against him, doctors who harbor grim secrets, and perhaps even the very Devil himself. As Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to face down the entity which thrives on the suffering within New Hyde’s walls – but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live inside him.
Juani will recur as Marisol, Pepper's supportive, live-in girlfriend and mother of seven-year-old Isabel. When Pepper is arrested and admitted to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, she's left feeling torn and helpless, fearing there is little she can do to get him out.
In addition to writing the series, Cantwell and LaValle will executive produce along with Ridley Scott, David W Zucker, Dan Stevens, Alexandra Milchan, Guymon Casady, Scott Lambert, Brooke Kennedy and Karyn Kusama. Filming is underway in New York City with Karyn Kusama directing the first two episodes.
